We don’t let advertising or tracking companies collect information about your activity on our site. Our hosting provider receives your IP address and request details in order to serve the site. We don’t share personal information with other companies for their own marketing.

Who processes it for us

  • A hosting provider runs the site and its forms and provides the page statistics.
  • An email delivery provider sends our emails and keeps our contact list.
  • An email and workspace provider holds our inbox, where sign-up notifications and messages arrive.

Each one processes data only to provide its service to us. They are based in the United States. We may access the information from where we work.

Email

If you sign up to learn more, we send you a welcome email and may email you about Counterhold, including a personal follow-up to learn about your agents. If you only asked for the checklist, we send the checklist and don’t add you to our list. To stop any email from us, reply “unsubscribe” or email contact@counterhold.com.

How long we keep it

  • Sign-ups: while you are on our list. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we don’t contact you again.
  • Messages and sign-up notices: we delete them when we no longer need them, normally within 24 months of our last exchange.
  • Page statistics: aggregated, with no personal identifiers.
  • Server logs and provider records: for a limited period set by our providers, who may keep copies of sent emails and requests for their own security and legal purposes.

Your choices

Email contact@counterhold.com to see the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. We aim to answer within 30 days and don’t charge for requests. We may ask you to confirm the request comes from you, for example by replying from the same email address. If a privacy law that applies to us gives you other rights, we will respond as that law requires. We may keep information we need to stop emailing you, to comply with the law or to resolve a dispute.

We don’t track you across other websites, so we treat every visitor the same whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Children

The site is meant for working professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. The site is served over HTTPS, and only the people who run Counterhold can access our accounts with our providers. No website or email system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information you send us. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you where the law requires. To report a vulnerability, see our security page.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also say so on this page, and we may email people on our list.
